How we build
Six steps, two to four weeks, no surprises.
This is the same process every site on this portfolio went through. It is written down here because the fastest way to lose a client is for them not to know what happens next.
Days 1 to 3
We research before we design
We read your competitors properly, not just glance at them. What they promise, what they charge, where they lose the visitor, and which question none of them answers. That gap is usually the whole positioning, and it is far cheaper to find it now than after the build.
- Competitor teardown across the businesses you actually lose work to
- The questions your buyers ask before they are ready to buy
- Search terms worth owning, and the ones not worth chasing
Days 3 to 5
We plan the structure, then show you
Before a single pixel, we agree what pages exist and what each one has to achieve. Most bad websites are bad here, not in the visuals. Getting this right is why our sites do not need a redesign in eighteen months.
- Page map with a stated job for every page
- The conversion path, written out in order
- What proof goes where, and what we still need from you
Days 5 to 9
We write it before we build it
Every headline, every paragraph, every button. Written for your business, in plain language, with the objections answered on the page. You read it and mark it up before it becomes a website, when changes are still free.
- Full copy for every page, yours to edit
- Headlines written to be understood in one pass
- Metadata and page titles drafted at the same time, not later
Days 9 to 18
We build it custom
Hand built, mobile first, fast by construction rather than by plugin. Real fonts, real photography, motion that was choreographed on purpose. You see it on a live preview link as it comes together, not as a surprise at the end.
- Preview link from the first day of build
- Mobile designed alongside desktop, never after it
- Forms, tracking and schema wired in as we go
Days 18 to 21
We break it on purpose, then fix it
Every link clicked, every form submitted, every page loaded on a real phone. Spelling, spacing, load times, search setup. This is the step most agencies skip, and it is the reason clients find broken forms three months later.
- Every link, form and phone number tested by hand
- Load time measured on a real connection, not a lab score
- Sitemap, robots and structured data verified live
Handover
You get the files
The finished site goes onto your hosting and the files are yours. No proprietary builder holding the site hostage, no monthly fee to keep your own pages online. If you want to move it somewhere else in two years, you can.
- Deployed to your own hosting and domain
- Source files handed over, with no lock in
- Thirty days of fixes included after launch
Asked every time
The five questions.
How long does a site take?
Two to four weeks for most projects. A five page site sits at the short end, a storefront with a full product range at the long end. The slowest part is almost always waiting on content from the client, which is why we ask for it on day one.
What do you need from me?
Your logo if you have one, any photography of the real business, your prices or the range they sit in, and roughly forty minutes on a call at the start. If you do not have photography, we will tell you honestly what to shoot on a phone.
Do I have to host with you?
No. We will deploy to whatever hosting you already pay for. If you do not have any, we will set it up and it stays in your name, not ours.
Can I edit it myself afterwards?
Depends what you want to edit. Prices, hours and text, yes, and we will show you how. Structural changes are usually faster and cheaper to send to us than to learn, and we will say so rather than sell you a training package.
What happens if something breaks after launch?
Thirty days of fixes are included, and after that it is a normal conversation rather than a support ticket queue. You will have our actual phone number.
Step one takes about forty minutes of your time.
That is the whole ask to get started.
