The brief
A US accounting practice offering bookkeeping, payroll, tax, formation and advisory, all of it previously buried in the same beige language every accounting site uses. We rebuilt the site around the one question visitors actually arrive with, which is not what the firm does but which service solves their problem.
The firm sells eight overlapping services to owners who cannot always tell them apart. Sales tax and tax preparation sound identical to a first time client. When a menu forces someone to guess, most of them guess by leaving.
What we did
Wrote a plain English subtitle under every service in the navigation, so the menu explains itself before a single click. Bookkeeping reads as books you can actually trust. Tax preparation reads as no more April surprises.
Built a service architecture where each offering earns its own page with real depth, rather than eight thin cards on a homepage.
Put the proof high on the page: years in practice, client counts, and the review score, all above the point where visitors decide whether to keep reading.
Rebuilt the identity and the page structure on the client's existing platform so their team can keep publishing without learning anything new.
Laid the SEO foundation into the build itself: structured metadata, semantic headings, and a route for every service worth ranking.
