The brief
CMG builds and remodels custom homes on the southern Connecticut shoreline. Most builder sites list forty capabilities and a service area covering half a state, which reads as availability but lands as inexperience. This one does the opposite deliberately.
Homeowners hiring a builder are choosing who to trust with a year of their life and a large share of their savings. The decision is made on evidence of judgement, not on a services grid.
What we did
Named the scope limit out loud, seven things done properly instead of forty done adequately, which reads as confidence rather than as a gap.
Published a five stage process so a homeowner always knows which stage they are in, addressing the single biggest complaint people have about builders.
Wrote a section on what the firm will not trade away, turning the usual values block into something with an actual edge.
Bounded the service area to a radius the crew can genuinely cover, Guilford to Niantic, rather than claiming the whole state.
Led the testimonials with homeowners who lived through the work, which is the only construction review that carries weight.

“We build the house you actually asked for.”
Where it landed
A builder site that filters as hard as it sells. The people who call have already accepted the scope, the radius and the process, so the first conversation starts further along.
