The brief
Stratus moves full truckload and LTL freight across the lower 48. Freight sites usually open with a photo of a truck at sunset and a paragraph about partnership. Shippers do not read those. They arrive with a load, a lane and a deadline, and they leave the moment a site fails to acknowledge any of the three.
Brokers and shippers compare carriers in minutes, often with several tabs open. Anything that reads like a brochure gets closed. The site had to prove capability and availability before it tried to build a relationship.
What we did
Opened on the promise that matters, that the freight is on the road tonight, rather than on the company history.
Built a live loads section so the site shows current lane activity instead of claiming coverage in the abstract.
Split the quote path in two, a form for people who are planning and a direct dispatch line for people who are not.
Put the licensing and insurance details in the footer where freight buyers actually look for them.
Structured the services around what gets hauled, so a shipper can self identify in one scan instead of reading a capabilities list.
